On the contrary, if we want to reduce the possibility of wire rope grooving, we should start from these aspects. Reduce the included angle between the steel wire rope and the rope groove, and let the steel wire rope retract and release smoothly in the rope groove, which can reduce the probability of off groove. When the drum is single-layer winding and the angle between the steel wire rope and the rope groove is very small, a large length distance between the drum and pulley is required, and the space restriction is the main influencing factor. Reducing the speed and adopting a more flexible steel wire rope can improve the adhesion between the steel wire rope and the drum rope groove and reduce the risk of grooving to a certain extent.
